Who We Are

Datavore is a consultancy firm that provides data-driven solutions to organisations. If you have any questions about how we handle your data, you can contact us at:

Email: info@datavore.nl

Phone: +31 6 83874301

What Data We Collect

We may collect the following types of personal data:

• Name and contact details (e.g., email, phone number).
• Company name and role (if provided).
• Information you provide via our contact form or email.
• Technical data such as IP address, browser type, and interaction with our website.

Why We Collect Your Data

We only collect personal data when necessary. This may include:

• Responding to inquiries via the contact form.
• Providing services you’ve requested.
• Improving our website and user experience.
• Fulfilling legal obligations.

Legal Basis

We process your personal data based on one or more of the following legal grounds:

• Your explicit consent (e.g., via the contact form)
• The necessity to perform a contract or take pre-contractual steps
• Legitimate interest (e.g., to maintain our website and respond to inquiries)
• Legal obligations where applicable

How We Protect Your Data

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. This includes secure hosting, encryption where needed, and access controls.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct or update inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw your consent at any time
• Object to or restrict processing
• Request data portability

Retention Period

We keep your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes stated above or to comply with legal requirements. If you request removal, we will process your request promptly.

Cookies and Tracking

This website sets no cookies and uses no tracking technologies. It makes no requests to third-party servers: our fonts are self-hosted rather than loaded from a font CDN, so your IP address is never shared with a third party in order to render this site.

Because we set no cookies and do not track you, there is no consent banner and nothing for you to opt out of.

Third Parties

We do not share your personal data with third parties unless:

• It is necessary for delivering services (e.g., our hosting provider, or Formspree, which delivers our contact form to us — see below)
• We are legally required to do so
• You have given explicit permission

Our Contact Form

When you submit our contact form, the details you enter (your name, email, phone number, company and role, and your message) are processed on our behalf by Formspree, which forwards them to us by email and keeps a copy of each submission in our account with them.

Formspree is based in the United States and processes this data there. It is sent only when you choose to submit the form; if you would rather it was not, email us directly at info@datavore.nl instead. We use Formspree only to receive your enquiry — it is not used for marketing or tracking, and the form makes no request until you choose to submit it.

If You Apply for a Job

When you apply to us — for an open role, or with an open application — you send us your details by email. We process whatever you choose to include: your name and contact details, your introduction and your answer to our question, and any links or attachments you send. If you send us a link to a profile such as LinkedIn or GitHub, we look at what is publicly visible there.

We use this only to assess your application and to talk to you about it. The legal basis is that processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract; where you apply without a vacancy being open, we rely on our legitimate interest in considering candidates who approach us.

Only Dennis and Chris read applications. We do not use an applicant tracking system, we do not share your application with anyone outside Datavore, and no decision about your application is made by automated means.

We delete your application within four weeks of the process ending, in line with the Dutch NVP Sollicitatiecode. If we would like to keep your details on file longer — because there may be something for you later — we will ask you first, and keep them for at most one year from that consent. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.

You can ask us at any time for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it — write to info@datavore.nl and we will act on it. We assess every candidate against the same criteria, and no part of our selection is automated.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page with an updated revision date.

Questions or Complaints?

If you have any questions or concerns about your data, please contact us at info@datavore.nl. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
